Safety Network Building Program

This program is a great opportunity for parents and caregivers to build connections with one another while also developing skills together in the journey of caregiving. Join us for this five month long program where we will share stories, food, and skills with one another that nurture our ability to keep our families safe and centered!

Wondering what topics will be covered in this program?

  • Decolonized Parenting Practices

    Learn about child-rearing history, nervous system mapping, nervous system regulation practices, parenting through hard times.

  • Safety Plan Crafting

    Interested in learning more about how to establish holistic systems of routine, safety, and wellness/self-care? Creating a family safety plan is crucial to maintaining balance! Join us in February to learn more!

  • Harm Reduction Strategies

    We will be learning about practical strategies to keep your family safe even in difficult circumstances!

  • Deepening Connections

    At Seeds Worth Sowing we believe that creating space for connection amongst parents and children is vital to the health of the entire community. Join us as we activate our playful side and invite more connection into our lives.

Program FAQs

  • We will be meeting on the following dates:

    • Saturday, February 10th, 1:30pm-4:30pm

    • Saturday, March 9th, 1:30pm-4:40pm

    • Sunday, April 7th, 1:30pm-4:30pm

    • Sunday, May 19th, 1:30pm-4:30pm

    • Sunday, June 2nd, 1:30pm-4:30pm

  • Yes! There will be a stipend of $1500 provided. Participants will receive half of the stipend at the midpoint of the program and receive the final portion once the program ends. In order to receive the stipend, participants must attend majority of the gatherings.

  • Yes! We love kids of all ages and they are always welcome at Seeds Worth Sowing programs!

  • This program is for Black and Brown parents who are interested in learning more about decolonized parenting practices, harm reduction, and safety plan crafting. We welcome parents of all identities and experiences.

  • All gatherings will be in person except for the harm reduction gathering. That one will be virtual.

  • For participants who need transportation support, we are able to schedule lyfts.

  • We will meet in South Minneapolis. Exact location will be available to families once they register!
